Focused on the power of tapping SNS for new business leads, TAKEOVER is designed to inspire enterprising people to explore SNS networking for leadership.
THE BUSINESS OF SOCIAL 3.0 is a series of Workshops on Making Social Media Work for Your Ideas by Catalyst Connector.
TAKEOVER is designed to empower businesses to monitor and control perceptions and conversations that influence business relationships via managing personae, and creating actionable objectives.
Having established distinct and connected corporate personae, with each facing a potential pool of customers, entrepreneurs need to take control of each of them in an organized ritual almost on a daily basis. Tracking and monitoring becomes second nature when brickbats can harm your ability to do business, while kudos need to be amplified to bait opportunities swiftly.
TAKEOVER is about outreach and engagement etiquette and tactics in the social media space, culminating in the final face-to-face handshake of a comfortable match of vision and willingness to network for profit or cause. The process leading to that opportunistic strike deserves a checklist of ordered actions aimed at multiplying the chances of successful networking with minimal wastage of time and effort. Crisis or change can be managed for positive outcomes, if you know how.

Kelvin Quee
Kelvin is founder and Head of Partnerships at JamiQ Pte Ltd, Singapore’s home-grown business measuring online media effectiveness and its influence. He also co-founded InteresThink, a non-profit organization in 2007, committed to bringing a diverse group of people and unconventional ideas together.
JamiQ's revolutionary design enables the monitoring of almost every new post on the social media in real-time, plus the automated tools via a dashboard. Using sentiment analysis, buzz trending, and influence indicators, users can track and respond to conversations directly or indirectly related to their brands or personas. Based in Asia, JamiQ goes beyond the usual channels and covers the conversations from the diverse spread of Asian social media. Its features also include market segmentation and multi-lingual translation in real time, a major boon to clients like MTV, GroupM, Hill & Knowlton, Samsung, Standard Chartered Bank, Canon, Singtel, Ogilvy, and the CPF board of Singapore.
On February 24 this year, JamiQ was lauded by RADM(NS) Ronnie Tay, Chief Executive Officer, IDA Singapore, in his speech: “One of our local companies, JamiQ provides a social media dashboard for companies to monitor social media across Asian markets and languages. JamiQ uses advanced data mining and natural language processing technology to give businesses the critical insights businesses need for immediate and strategic decision-making. In Sep 2010, it launched ReputationWatch, a solution tailored for SMEs to track and analyse real-time online conversations.”
