Proposals are sought for social-driven location-activated applications for the new Microsoft Smartphone and existing brands of smartphones.
- Ideas should consider lifestyle content and business facilitation as separate choices.
- User-activated interfacing is a priority, as with relation to community-based activity.
- Benefits of the proposed programme/service should be clear to any user, whether it is free or chargeable.
- Privacy issues must be respected.
- If it is CSR-based [not for profit], adequate exposure must be given to a beneficiary for branding.
- Care and attention must be given to language, culture and user interface with consideration to data packet size.
- Standalone or connected service options
Maps are available for Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Vietnam, Cambodia, and major cities of China.
Interested parties may use these in part or whole, with options to populate POIs according to proposed application.
These applications are expected to be delived to the user via:
- Over The Air activation [pre-installed]
- WAP push
- Online stores
- EDM with download links
Interested parties are to submit:
- 2 page summary of the idea
- short breakdown of resources required, eg developmental costs by manhours and/or licensing
- desired working arrangement - eg developer, operator, marketer
All information will be kept in strict confidence, and will not be shared outside the CatalystConnector committee
All applicants will be notified on October 1st, 2010. However, only shortlisted parties will be called in for a briefing.
